The Commission on Higher Education (CHE), Ministry of Education, Thailand has announced the DUO-Thailand Fellowship Program 2009 for the Exchange of Students wtih an aim to promote exchange of students between Thai and European higher education institutions.

 

The DUO-Thailand Executive Committee gives priority to eight disciplines namely Alternative Energy, Biotechnology/Food Technology, Health Sciences, Information and Communication Technology, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Wood Technology, Business Sytem Design and Tourism and Hospitality Management. However, the applicants from other disciplines are also eligible to apply for the program.

 

Both Thai and European universities are entitled to submit applications and they are required to submit the applications to the Commission on Higher Education. Applicants should apply through their respective universities. Application should be submitted in pair ( a Thai student going to EU and a European student coming to Thailand). For each pair of exchange, the exchange periods of Thai and European students shall not necessarily coincide, and areas of exchange of Thai and European students shall also not necessarily be identical.

 

Application period is from August 20, 2008 to October 31, 2008. Applications received after October 31, 2008 will not be considered. The completed application form together with supporting documents and a nomination letter from applicant's university can be submitted by electronic mail or by post to
